The trip from Zion to Bryce was a quick 2.5 hours (I didn’t even have to pack snacks!). TJ & I both remembered how stunned we were at Utah’s beauty when we moved to CA, & we got to be stunned all over again today, only this time with the kids. Thankfully, before we left, Chase cleaned our truck windows – perfect timing to enjoy these beautiful Utah views!
Sofina especially was excited. She said this was what she’d been hoping to see!

TJ found us a spot at Ruby’s Inn & Campground, only 2 miles from the Bryce park entrance!
We got everything hooked-up while the kids enjoyed the snow!

We were all starving, so we went to the Cowboy Buffet inside Ruby’s Inn. This was Sofina’s & Chase’s first buffet experience, and they couldn’t have been happier. They both said they want to go to a buffet for their birthdays.

We then drove into the park to do our usual pre-hike park drive-thru. This has worked out so well for us to acquaint ourselves with the park, talk to a ranger, look at a map, & plan hikes for the next few days. We were all shocked at the amount of snow! Part of the park is still closed & some of the trails are as well. We drove all the way to Ponderosa Canyon, which is the farthest into the park you can get right now. From there, we made our way back, stopping at all the lookouts (and playing with the cutest Husky who was having the time of his life in the snow).

Nights are still below freezing here, so the boys went out to unhook our water lines for the night. This was the view out our bedroom window!
