We’re developing a system: hike like mad on day 1 & rest the next day. We couldn’t quite take a full day off, so we drove a little outside Bryce Canyon to try the Moss Cave Hike nearby. It’s an easy, 1-mile hike, & we got to see a cave with ice stalagmites and a waterfall.

TJ & the kids drove back into the Visitor Center for a little info & shopping while I made lunch at home.

After that, we stayed home to relax, play games, do laundry, and prep for tomorrow’s travel day. And I cuddled with Stout as much as possible. And Sofina swaddled Stout for extra cuddles.

We drove back into Bryce to see the sunset over the amphitheater. We went to Sunset Point, but we were confused… the sun was setting behind us. Perhaps in the summer, when the sun is higher in the sky, it lives up to its name? We still enjoyed watching the shadows creep across the valley & the faraway mountains illuminated.
